Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join the Finance team. This position is responsible for the accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of complex financial data. The ideal candidate will focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes while maintaining the integrity of the organization's financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to monthly and quarterly close activities by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Provide support during audits and external reviews by gathering documentation and addressing inquiries.
Review contracts and business agreements to ensure proper financial treatment in reporting.
Develop schedules and financial reports for management and other stakeholders.
Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts through regular reconciliations and account analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to validate data, resolve discrepancies, and improve workflow.
Assist with processing transactions, settlements, and related financial activity.
Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
Monitor accounting standards and regulatory updates to help ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or equivalent ERP systems).
Familiarity with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
